Baki

Baki Hanma continues his efforts to defeat Yuujirou, the strongest man in the world. But after emerging victorious from an underground tournament, Tokugawa Mitsunari visits him at school revealing five deadly death row inmates specializing in martial arts who recently escaped confinement, headed toward Tokyo as quickly as they can - they all wish for one last taste of defeat before succumbing to it themselves and are heading directly for Baki based upon his famed strength - though with Tokugawa warning him he might encounter them sooner or later due to their skill, even if not necessarily on him personally...

Baki adapts the first arc from manga series number two, depicting an all-out war between Japanese martial artists of merit and underground warriors from across Japan.
