Ladd Russo spared Graham Specter's life and won his undying devotion in 1929; three years later, when learning that Ladd had been forced off of a train following events aboard Flying Pussyfoot, Graham becomes furious; so, being driven by peculiar yet passionate ideas, Graham plans an act of reciprocation by kidnapping Eve Genoard and seizing Jacuzzi Splot who had taken refuge within her mansion with his gang.

At the same time, Jacuzzi and his gang take in an unfamiliar woman; Elmer C. Albatross visits prison to meet with an old acquaintance; while Czeslaw Meyer encounters someone he hopes he won't see ever again - all without realizing who it might be!

These seemingly separate narratives come together, untangling many loose ends and uncovering all aspects of an anomaly aboard Advena Avis in 1711.
