Banana Fish

Aslan Jade Callenreese, commonly referred to as Ash Lynx, was taken in from New York's streets and raised by one of Dino Golzine's godfather mafia figures as part of an underage runaway program. Now 17 and acting as his own boss of his gang, Ash began investigating what his older brother, Griffin had called out since returning home from Iraq: the mysterious "Banana Fish". However, Dino sent his men after him at an underground bar used as his hideout; eventually stopping his inquiries at which Dino sent his men assassinations attempts.

At a bar, Skip introduces Ash to Shunichi Ibe and Eiji Okumura, two Japanese photographers covering American street gangs from Japan. Unfortunately, their conversation is interrupted when Shorter Wong, one of Ash's allies, warns him about Dino's men storming into the bar in chaos; eventually kidnapping Skip and Eiji from Ash in this melee; thus complicating his investigation of Banana Fish even more despite past issues between himself and mafia members.
