Since 2010, when the Iga and Kouga Ninja Clan wars ended, both parties appear to have found peace with one another, seemingly dispelling any animosity that once existed between them. Hachirou Kouga and Hibiki Iga's sons seem happy in this arrangement though not everyone may approve.

Gennosuke Kouga and Oboro Iga's final showdown has left Tadanaga Tokugawa--representing Kouga--dissatisfied, while tension between clans continues to escalate and threatens once again to keep these lovers apart - much as had happened with previous generations of lovers.
