Shoutarou Futaba always appreciated sports, though never advanced beyond being an occasional benchwarmer on his middle school baseball team. After witnessing some gymnasts practicing in the park and seeing that there is an event underway with rhythmic gymnastics tournament, he decides on an impulse to attend it and watch an exhilarating rhythmic gymnastics competition at Shoushukan High School's Rhythmic Gymnastics Club perform so exuberantly they were penalised due to not fielding full six-man rosters! Ultimately though their performance made them second place due penalties acquired due to not fielding full six man rosters.

Shoutarou was taken aback at how capable Ryouya Misato, an accomplished gymnast who finished second at her junior tournament, performed. Inspired by their skillful demonstration, she enrolls in Shoushukan in hopes of joining their team despite no prior background in gymnastics. Shoushukan recruits both gymnasts despite no experience being needed for joining; Shoutarou joins Ryouya Misato who had once placed second herself!

Now with six players, Shoushukan embarks upon their ambitious plans of competing at an Inter-High tournament. Shoutarou must master rhythmic gymnastics' basics while working alongside his new teammates if Shoushukan hopes to stand a chance of capturing its inaugural title.
